Live & Open Air in the castle courtyard. A unique concert evening for all fans of cinema, film and Hollywood. The unique film music experience "The Music Of Hans Zimmer & Others" brings the symphonic world of star composer Hans Zimmer to Hohenzollern Castle with music from "The Lion King", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Gladiator", "Dark Knight", "Inception" or "Interstellar", among others - performed by the Hollywood Symphonic Orchestra and Choir with the participation of soprano Johanna Krumin. The audience also learns interesting background stories, such as how Hans Zimmer completely changed the beginning of "Gladiator" with Ridley Scott and smuggled a message against apartheid into the lyrics for "The Lion King" in the local language, telling the big Disney company that it was about butterflies. Hans Zimmer often cited Ennio Morricone as his idol and role model, from whose repertoire excerpts from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Once Upon a Time in America" will be heard.

Tickets are only available via Eventim (no box office). There are 5 price categories  according to the 5 seating blocks. Within the seating blocks there is free choice of seats (reservation not possible). The shuttle bus between parking lot and the castle's entrance gate is included to the ticket. 

Shuttle bus: From 18:00-19:00 there will be a reconstruction phase for the concert at the castle. Therefore, from 17:00-18:30, the shuttle bus will only transport day visitors downhill (no uphill runs, not even for concert visitors). From 18:30-19:00 there will be no shuttle bus services. From 19:00, the shuttle bus transports concert-goers and, from 22:30, visitors to the Midsummer Night's Dream. The last departure to the car park is at 1:30 am.

Footpath: Since the night lighting of the footpath was currently damaged by a lightning strike, we recommend the use of the shuttle bus in the dark. Guests who still want to walk, we recommend to take the road and to use a light (eg cell phone light).

Bonus: Midsummer Night's Dream!
Directly after the concert, Hohenzollern Castle opens the doors to its showrooms. Visitors can stroll through the royal chambers and around the castle grounds until 1:00 hrs. In addition, there will be delicious cocktails and chilling music in the castle garden.

Tip: Even on warm summer days, the evenings can be coolish up at the Castle. We advise to come prepared with warm clothes/blankets/cushions. The event will take place in each case of weather. When it is raining we recommend to be prepared with a rain coat. Umbrellas are not allowed within the seating area because this would obstract the view of the other visitors.

NOTE: This event is organised and conducted by Star Entertainment GmbH Berlin (not by Hohenzollern Castle). Therefore, the regular ticket versions of Hohenzollern Castle (e.g. season card, free ticket, AlbCard, Schwarzwald Plus Karte etc.) are not valid for this event.
