Getting around the Castle with the Castle App

To make your visit to the castle as pleasant and informative as possible, we have developed a castle app that guides you through the museum rooms and part of the outdoor area in German, English or French. You are welcome to download the app onto your smartphone or tablet at home. On site, you can use our guest wifi in the castle courtyard for the download.

At the individual stations, the castle app automatically recognises where you are in the outdoor area or in the museum rooms and begins with the explanations. Of course, the app can also be stopped or paused manually and then restarted. The first explanation station is at the Eagle's Gate, the castle's entrance gate. The castle app also contains a list of castle events. Using the castle app is more pleasant for both the user and the other castle visitors if headphones are used.

The app can be downloaded free of charge from both the Google Playstore and the Apple Store (search term: Burg Hohenzollern or click on the symbol below or QR code scan).

Please note: The castle app is not included in the admission price. Nevertheless, we provide it to you free of charge. If the app does not work properly on your device (e.g. due to a technical problem), there is no right of recourse.
